Stricter rules for commercial drivers with DUIs

Summary:

Expands the circumstances that qualify as "aggravated" driving while intoxicated to include driving a vehicle with a gross combination weight rating of 10,001 pounds or more. This bill also clarifies that a driver must immediately be disqualified for driving a commercial vehicle after refusing a blood alcohol concentration test. Lastly, this bill states that if a person disqualified from driving a commercial vehicle applies for a hearing, the hearing must occur within fifteen days. The Senate added this bill to HB 1182.
