Create a right to privacy
Summary:
Allows a person to a sue a state or local government or government contractor for accessing private information, such as email, without a warrant. This bill also places restrictions on the ability of government to collect social media information about an individual that is not password protected. The House amended the bill to create a general right to privacy.
