Prohibit cell phone businesses from sharing location data
Summary:
If a mobile carrier gathers information indicating the location of a person, this bill only allows them to retain or share that information to fulfill an explicit customer request, unless the customer has waived that right after being properly informed. This bill includes fines for the carrier and gives consumers a right to sue.
