HB 291 (2021)
Require Attorney General to analyze absentee ballot requests
Requires town and city clerks to make absentee ballot voter lists available for public inspection within 60 days after an election, or earlier with a court order. This bill also requires the Secretary of State to make a report containing various data points on absentee ballots.
The Senate rewrote the bill to instead require the Attorney General to analyze absentee ballot requests "for evidence of misuse." The House of Representatives must approve this rewrite.
