Plastic bag ban

Summary:

Enables municipalities to prohibit the distribution, sale, and purchase of products that contribute to plastic pollution, such as disposable plastic shopping bags and beverage straws. The House amended the bill to require retailers statewide to use recyclable plastic or paper bags, and charge users 10-cents per bag, with a maximum 50-cent charge per purchase.
