SB 217 (2022)
Allow landlord to evict for repairs, renovations, or sale, but only after 90 days' notice
Summary:
Allows a landlord to evict a tenant to perform renovations, to perform repairs to the dwelling unit which cannot be safely done while the tenant resides in the premises, or to sell the property. However, the landlord would have to provide 90 days' notice to the tenant, unless the landlord has been ordered to immediately make repairs for safety purposes. In that case, the landlord would only have to give 30 days' notice.
The Senate amended the bill to require 60 days' notice instead of 90.
