Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?
"The Educational Freedom Account program uses funding from cash-strapped public schools to pay for private schools, including religious schools and homeschooling. Funding for Religious schools violates the principle of separation of church and state, and the program seems to favor students attending private and religious schools over those attending non-religious ones. So far, no progress has been reported on the students using these funds, so we, the public, don’t know if the curriculum requirements are actually being met. Here are a few facts to consider about the EFA. So far, school vouchers have diverted $24 million from public schools in the 2023-2024 school year. The Cost of the school voucher program has increased 275% since it started in 2021. More than 75% of students were already enrolled in private or homeschool programs before enrolling in the voucher program."

Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the first trimester (e.g. after 6 weeks gestation)?
"I will always support and advocate for a woman’s right to choose what is best for her. When and how to start a family is a personal choice and an individual right to be protected."

Should NH add a broad-based sales tax?
"No, I’m not in favor of an N.H. sales tax, but I am open to discussing and learning more about the pros and cons as we try to keep our residence here in N.H. while raising property taxes and relying heavily on non-tax revenue."

Should New Hampshire government do more to address climate change?
"Climate change is real and has been affecting the planet. N.H. is being affected in many obvious ways. I don't understand how some people do not see or feel the effects of our warmer weather and the change in weather patterns that significantly increase extreme weather. These extremes are bringing flooding damage to our roads, homes, crops and wildlife. N.H. needs a comprehensive state-wide environmental plan."

Should the state increase funding for child care providers?
"Child care is a major household expense for families with children, and about 7% of the family income. We do receive federal funding, which N.H. relies heavily on, but we benefit from consistent state funding. It could help childcare providers of all sizes function at full capacity, and constant funding would help areas with more limited workforces and local resources. Consistent funding could create more childcare availability and allow parents to work and provide for their family, adding to their income and savings and growing the state’s workforce and economy."

Should New Hampshire repeal the ban on abortion after 24 weeks gestation?
"For a woman to reach 24 weeks of her pregnancy, she is fully committed to carrying her baby to term. Actually, abortions after 21 weeks are uncommon, representing 1% of all abortions in the U.S. Reasons for seeking a third-trimester abortion are due to medical concerns such as fetal anomalies or endangerment to the mother."
