Texas-based energy company Kinder Morgan will hold additional public outreach regarding its proposal for a 70-mile natural gas pipeline that would run through southern New Hampshire.

The company has held five meetings recently in the communities that would be affected by the pipeline.

New Hampshire's congressional delegation sent a letter to Kinder Morgan last week to ask the company to conduct additional information sessions.

The letter, signed by U.S. senators Jeanne Shaheen and Kelly Ayotte and representatives Annie Kuster and Frank Guinta, requested the meetings so that residents can "better review and understand information, assess potential impact and meaningfully express their views in an open and transparent setting."

A spokesperson for Kinder Morgan said planning is underway to schedule open house meetings, with dates and locations to be posted on the company's website.
