Shaheen weighs in on Deflategate

Yesterday, April 27 New Hampshire's U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen tweeted that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell should publicly release data on the air pressure from footballs throughout last season.

She linked to an article that argues the NFL is hiding data from earlier in the season because it would prove that deflation is a natural occurrence due to weather changes. 

"Public has right to know," wrote Shaheen. "No credible evidence against #TB12."

Opponents argue that the spot checks were not conducted as a research study and were only intended to catch possible violations. Since the NFL did not cite any violators, it's clear that footballs do not regularly deflate due to weather conditions.
