Sununu signs dozens of bills

Over the past week Gov. Chris Sununu has signed dozens of bills.  Here are some of the notable new laws:

SB 313

This bill continues New Hampshire's expanded Medicaid program, with some notable changes.  Learn more about SB 313.

SB 421

This bill requires insurance companies to cover cover all prescription contraceptive drugs and contraceptive devices approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, including 12-month contraception prescriptions.  Learn more about contraception coverage requirements.

HB 1626

This bill requires an annual report on the cost effectiveness and outcomes of addiction treatment programs.  This bill was prompted in part by funding crises at some addiction treatment centers.  Learn more about addiction treatment funding.

HB 1565

This bill requires the Department of Corrections to pursue accreditation of the secure psychiatric unit of the state prison as a behavioral health facility. HB 1565 also requires the department to submit a biennial report on provisions, standards, or practices that should be revised to improve treatment.  Learn more about HB 1565.

HB 2018

This bill covers the ten-year transportation plan, including a plan to transition to all-electronic tolling.  Learn more about HB 2018.
