Summary:
If a total ballot count at a polling placed exceeds the number of registered voters in the town or ward, including voters registered on the day of the election, this bill removes those election results from the totals for state and federal offices.
The House rewrote the bill. The new bill allows any candidate to ask for a recount if the total number of ballots cast exceeds the number of registered voters on the day of the election for any race.
