Limit sharing of driver's license information, prohibit sharing for immigration enforcement

Summary:

Prohibits the Department of Safety from disclosing any records that identifies whether the type of driver's license that a person holds meets federal standards for identification, limits the release of motor vehicle records to the federal government for purposes of criminal investigations only, and allows an individual to opt out of providing a social security number if applying for a non-Real ID compliant driver’s license. The bill specifically prohibits motor vehicle information form being shared with federal immigration enforcement agencies conducting civil investigations.
