SB 100 (2021)

This omnibus bill establishes several study committees and commissions, including:

• a commission to study workplace safety in health care settings
• a commission to study payments in lieu of taxes, as requested by the assessing standards board
• a commission to differentiate the cost of education and the cost of care for children in a residential facility
• a committee to study charitable gaming
• a committee to study the effects of COVID-19 lockdowns, quarantines, and school and business closings
• a committee to study building a pier over the jetty at Hampton Beach state park for disability access

The House amended the bill to establish just two study committees:

• a committee to study charitable gaming
• a committee to study building a pier over the jetty at Hampton Beach state park for disability access

A conference committee of representatives and senators added back a committee to study workplace safety in healthcare settings.
