SB 157 (2021)
Extend funding, add reporting related to child mental health
Summary:
Extends a prior appropriation to the Department of Health and Human Services for child welfare behavioral health services. These funds would otherwise be at risk at the end of this fiscal year. This bill also requires a report on the system of care for children's mental health, particularly the implementation of 2019 bill SB 14. The Senate amended that part of the bill to instead simply require a report on the New Hampshire 10-year mental health plan to be shared with the Office of the Child Advocate. Lastly, this bill funds four positions in the services contracts and procurement unit.
