Allow local programs using Renewable Energy Fund, other changes to funding
Summary:
Adds battery storage projects to uses of the Renewable Energy Fund. This bill also authorizes the optional creation of an incentive, rebate, or grant program for municipalities related to renewable energy. Lastly, the bill modifies the reporting date by the Department of Energy concerning the Renewable Energy Fund. This bill was requested by the Department of Energy.
The Senate amended the bill, removing the portions about battery storage.
