Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?

"This legislation siphons NH tax dollars away from public schools and communities. Taxpayer money is diverted to private institutions, can be spent out of state, and is poorly regulated. Financial qualification is required only once for up to twelve years of benefits. The projected annual cost to the state was a little over $100K, but has mushroomed over 8 mil. This legislation does injustice to our taxpayers, our public education, and our communities."

Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the first trimester (e.g. after 6 weeks gestation)?

"The current ban on abortions over 24 weeks does not allow for exclusions like rape, fetal anomalies, the health of the mother, or other determinations that should be between a woman and her doctor. Bans like this limit a woman's freedom. The government should not force women to give birth or be between a woman, her family, her doctor, and her God."

Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the second trimester (e.g. after 15 weeks gestation)?

Should New Hampshire ban discussions about sexual orientation and gender identity in grades K-3?

"Some children at this age, as well as their parents, identify as LGBTQ+. Banning discussion limits knowledge, tolerance, self-awareness and acceptance, understanding, and acceptance. This is culturally regressive and cruel. Bans like this are limiting our freedom."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Do you support the state law that bans teaching certain concepts, such as the idea that people may be "inherently racist, sexist, or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously"?

"Broadly, education should encourage everyone not only to learn history and didactic information, but to think and use critical thinking in their everyday lives. Specifically, history is on a continuum to the present day and struggles related to race and sexism continue to the present day. To deny this history and the ability to examine the intersection of history, society, and government is censorship. The First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States protects the right of free speech. Bans like this limit our freedom and are against the Constitution."

Should New Hampshire add a tax credit for businesses that contribute to student loan repayment for employees?

Should New Hampshire government do more to address climate change?

"New Hampshire's economy is being affected by climate change: coastal flooding, the health of trees and forests, fishing, winter sports, agriculture to name a few. Studying, preventing, mitigating, and planning for its economic impact represents necessary, responsible, and smart planning."

Should the state do more to encourage municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development?

"The state needs more affordable housing. At the same time, adequate infrastructure must be able to accommodate this urban development. I would suggest a commission to study proposals to encourage municipalities to modify zoning barriers to encourage housing development."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Should New Hampshire extend the renewable portfolio standard past 2025, requiring public utilities to obtain more than 25% of electricity from renewable energy sources?

"Depending on feasibility of obtaining renewable energy and the cost to the ratepayer, staged increases in the direction of 25% and more are necessary and obvious, especially in light of recent geopolitical uncertainty about the availability of fossil fuel."

Do you support the state’s current system of public school funding, with each district’s total funding primarily dependent on local property tax revenue?

"The state cut funding to public schools and is not meeting its constitutional requirement to provide each student with a free and adequate education. Property tax revenue varies widely by district. Students should not suffer an inadequate education because of their Zip Code."
