Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?

"This program is a sham- it is part of a movement to erode public education by draining public funds away from public education.I would be a strong voice to remove this program."

Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the first trimester (e.g. after 6 weeks gestation)?

"A woman's body and a woman's right to chose when to be a parent or not. As a rape survivor, if I had become pregnant as a result, I would not be agreeable to someone else making a decision about my body and what course of action to take. We need to make have a New Hampshire Roe law and permanent. We need to protect al women but most certainly women living in poverty. Our choices for our bodies in my mind is a fight we must engage in and be diligent in that fight."

Should New Hampshire ban discussions about sexual orientation and gender identity in grades K-3?

"As a veteran school counselor, K-12, I know first-hand that children need safe places to be themselve, and talk about themselves and their families without judgement. If we are to be truly inclusive, we need for children to be able to talk to educators about anything they need to without restrictions."

Do you support the state law that bans teaching certain concepts, such as the idea that people may be "inherently racist, sexist, or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously"?

"I do not believe that hiding authentic history. Should NH add an income tax on earned income?

"While the citizens seem to still be opposed to this, there needs to be an open discussion about how to generate substantial revenue to provide property tax relief as many are being strangled financially. No avenue should be ignored, researched or ruled out just because it is not currently in place."

No avenue should be ignored, researched or ruled out just because it is not currently in place. New Hampshire has many, many taxes and they all need to be reviewed with new eyes and open minds."

Should New Hampshire lower business taxes?

"This is an area that need thoughtful conversations. If we are going to encourage small and large businesses to provide paid sick leave and other needed benefits, we need to assist them in lowering their taxes. However, the demand for businesses to provide worker rights and benefits needs to be tied to this and monitored for sustainability."

Should New Hampshire government do more to address climate change?

"I want to have a conversation about why every single public school and municipal building does not have solar panels. What can we do as a state to encourage and support this. Not only would it be smart, it would stimulate job growth in a good paying field."

"I would need more information about the issues that may be attached to this."

Should New Hampshire add a fee or mileage charge for electric vehicle owners to help pay for transportation and/or electric infrastructure?

"It is punishing those who have made a decision to be environmentally friendly. Just like we are financing public schools of the backs of property owners, we would be doing the same to thos ewho have already move into a more green transportation mode."

We should never be satisfied with anyone being classified as 'working poor'."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Do you support the state’s current system of public school funding, with each district’s total funding primarily dependent on local property tax revenue?

"Our public school funding is a broken system that has never worked. Public funds should not be paying for vouchers, private or religious schools. Children are suffering and if they live in a poorer community, their education is not funded adequately. Their rights to a free and appropriate education need to be the most important, the top priority, of any service in our state. We need an educated population to promote and maintain a heightened state of wellness and satisfaction for all who live in New Hampshire no matter of their zip code."
