"Every job has good eggs and bad eggs. I believe that the vast majority of police officers are constantly striving to do the right thing, but on occasion an officer will make a poor or outright bad decision. Those officers, and those decisions, need to reviewed on a case by case basis."

"As a former educator married to an educator, I have seen teachers forced to teach to standards-based assessments instead of just giving their students the time and attention they need to learn each task. What we need to focus on is giving teachers flexibility to teach their students a concept and ensure that the student has mastered that concept before moving on. Following that, testing should occur to track improvement over time."
