Summary:

Revises the law prohibiting sex offenders from working with children. In particular, this bill changes the phrase "employment or volunteer service involving the care, instruction or guidance of minor children" to "any employment or volunteer service which purpose involves the direct care, instruction, guidance, or repeat interaction with a minor." The House amended the bill to also requires employers to notify applicants if a position may involve prohibited contact with minors.
