HB 198 (2023)
Require notification, authorize data-sharing related to voters who register with out-of-state driver's licenses
This bill did not become law.
Requires nonresident drivers who establish residency in New Hampshire to notify the Department of Safety if they then cease to become residents within 60 days, or if their out-of-state driver's license expires or is relinquished. This bill then authorizes the Department of State, or election officials, to share data with the Department of Safety to identify and notify voters who have not gotten an in-state driver's license after registering to vote with an out-of-state license.
