HB 432 (2023)
Remove students from EFAs if family income rises above threshold
This bill did not become law.
Last updated 2023-12-07 7:39 am
Summary:
Requires an annual income eligibility determination for a student to continue to receive funds through the Education Freedom Account (EFA) program. The current EFA program allows students in families below 300% of the poverty level to spend the state's per-pupil share of education funding on private and home school expenses. This bill would make a student ineligible for the program in future years if the family's income rose above 300% of the federal poverty level.
