HB 69 (2021)

Summary:

Permits school boards to provide copies of the motto "In God We Trust" for display in each school building in the district. The bill also requires the Attorney General to defend the display of the motto in any school.  The Senate amended the bill to instead say that state and local governments cannot restrict schools that wish to display the national motto, “In God We Trust,” or the state motto, “Live Free or Die,” in any school building.
