SB 145 (2023)
Establish New Hampshire Housing Champion Designation Program
This bill did not become law.
Establishes a New Hampshire Housing Champion Designation Program, including a housing production municipal grant program, and a housing infrastructure municipal grant and loan program. Generally speaking, cities and towns that adopt land use regulations, water infrastructure, public transportation, and other programs that promote the development of workforce housing would have preferential access to state funds. The bill then establishes related positions within the Department of Business and Economic Affairs. The Senate passed and then tabled this bill, which often indicates support to include this spending item in the state budget bill.
