"I am not fundamentally opposed to the idea that students should be able to attend a school that better suits them if the circumstances allow for it. The tricky thing is mainly in how open enrollment affects school funding issues across multiple school districts for the sending and receiving town, and some school districts just don't have the capacity for it. There will be many children whose parents cannot afford the additional time and gas money to drive them to a better school outside of their district, so it will exacerbate existing inequities if implemented without sensible limitations."For| Read My Position
