"I am a strong supporter of this program, yes!"

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2021

"I would write it as 'Yes, New Hampshire should ban abortion, with exceptions for cases of rape/incest and health complications.'"

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the first trimester (e.g. after 6 weeks gestation)?

"I am a pro-life candidate. I have personal, first-hand experience with this subject matter and I firmly believe in protecting pre-born life. I understand there are RARE exceptions. But I will choose life over abortion at every other opportunity. Life is precious!"

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Do you support the state law that bans teaching certain concepts, such as the idea that people may be "inherently racist, sexist, or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously"?

"CRT is a fundamentally flawed concept and has no place in our classrooms. This subject matter should not even be a discussion topic. I will write, co-sponsor, and support legislation to make this point moot by removing CRT constructs in any form from classrooms in the state of NH"

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Should NH add an income tax on earned income?

"No!"

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Should NH add a broad-based sales tax?

"No!"

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Should New Hampshire add a tax credit for businesses that contribute to student loan repayment for employees?

"At the end of the day, all student loans should be repaid. If a business chooses to contribute to an employee's student loan repayment obligation, then that is a private matter between the business and its employee(s). But, if a tax credit for student loan repayment assistance helps both parties, and the end-result is a flourishing business with satisfied employees who are accountable for their student loan obligations, then yes, I will support such legislation."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Should New Hampshire lower business taxes?

"Every consumer ultimately pays for a business tax. Decreasing business taxes fuels business growth, and saves consumers money. If the business owner(s) earn more profit, that's why they are in business."

"No!"

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Should New Hampshire add a fee or mileage charge for electric vehicle owners to help pay for transportation and/or electric infrastructure?

"Until electric vehicle adoption rates reach statistically significant percentages in NH, legislating more fees and/or charges will not have a greater impact that market forces."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2021

Should New Hampshire add restrictions to the governor's powers during a state of emergency?

"Tough question... Timely question... Crisis, states of emergency, require effective and inspired leadership. If our NH governor is effective and inspiring, then I don't want to restrict their powers at this important time. If, however, our NH governor is ineffective and uninspiring, then I would want to reserve the right to restrict their powers. The tough part of the question is determining how to legislate both sides of the argument."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Should the state do more to encourage municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development?

"The key word in this question is 'encourage'. Yes, I believe all parties should 'encourage' local zoning changes that support complimentary housing development in each community. I also believe the state should not over-step from 'encouragement' to 'legislating' what each community decides for zoning policy."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Should New Hampshire extend the renewable portfolio standard past 2025, requiring public utilities to obtain more than 25% of electricity from renewable energy sources?

"I am well aware of the need to preserve and protect our planet from ourselves, and I support initiatives to reduce pollutants and contaminants and increase recycling. American energy independence is my priority, renewable and otherwise."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Should New Hampshire guarantee the right to access abortion before 24 weeks?

"I am a pro-life candidate. I have personal, first-hand experience with this subject matter and I firmly believe in protecting pre-born life. I understand there are RARE exceptions. But I will choose life over abortion at every other opportunity. Life is precious!"

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2021

Should NH legalize the recreational use of marijuana?

"For"

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Should New Hampshire legalize the recreational use of marijuana by allowing home-growing and private use without sales?

"I have not yet met an angry, belligerent, out-of-control stoner. I have seen many angry, belligerent, out-of-control drunks. I assume adults will be adults until proven otherwise, and I see marijuana legalization as an opportunity, not a threat. Despite every progressive and conservative argument to the contrary, I support marijuana legalization."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Should New Hampshire legalize the recreational use of marijuana by licensing growers and private retail locations?

Despite every progressive and conservative argument to the contrary, I support marijuana legalization."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Should New Hampshire raise the minimum wage?

"Minimum wage jobs are not intended to support living wage obligations and the consumer and our economy will ultimately suffer the consequences of changing this construct."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2021

Should New Hampshire increase the size of solar panel installations that may participate in net energy metering?
"As an engineer interested in the technology, and supportive of this concept in theory, I have not yet heard convincing arguments supporting large-scale, and cost-effective, solar panel installations for net energy metering, but I am willing to listen."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2021

Should New Hampshire increase subsidies and tax credits for business investment?

"I am a pro-business candidate. State legislatures must be mindful of the many benefits of an efficient, large and growing economy."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2021

Should New Hampshire increase the base amount of per-pupil funding it provides to local school districts?
"The concept of '...per-pupil funding' increases I support. The questions I have are A) what is the source of the funding, and 2) who is the actual recipient?"

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Should the state permanently increase how much tax revenue it shares with towns and cities every year, beyond public school funding?

"At a high-level, yes, I support this initiative because the taxpayer theoretically participates in local revenue sharing."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2021

Should New Hampshire continue to participate in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, which requires utilities to purchase allowances for every ton of carbon they emit?

"I am well aware of the need to preserve and protect our planet from ourselves, but I do not believe part of that process includes purchasing allowances for x amount of carbon emissions emitted."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2022

Should New Hampshire repeal the ban on abortion after 24 weeks gestation?

"I am a pro-life candidate. I have personal, first-hand experience with this subject matter and I firmly believe in protecting pre-born life. I understand there are RARE exceptions. But I will choose life over abortion at every other opportunity. Life is precious!"

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2021

Should New Hampshire create a road usage fee?

"We must have safe roads and bridges in our state. Is a RUF, in theory, a good idea? Maybe. The devil is in the details, and the fee is by definition a 'usage fee', so if a RUF is to be legislated, it must be based on usage, not what model year vehicle is driven."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2021

Should New Hampshire create a statewide family and medical leave program, paid for with a percentage of employee wages, with no opt-out?

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2021

Should New Hampshire provide student loan debt repayment programs for workers in industries with labor shortages?
"The problem is not as much student loan debt, as much as it is the high cost of education. Many people, like myself, assume the burden of student loan debt as a means to an end, and then responsibly and methodically pay back the loan(s). If I can do it, so can 'you', and 'you' should too."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2021

"Another policy question that is difficult to answer in short-form, but I would support tax incentives for affordable housing, provided the incentives did not then make the 'affordable housing' unaffordable."
