On the 2022 Citizens Count Issue Survey, Cascadden marked that she was "Against" legalizing the recreational use of marijuana by licensing growers and private retail locations. However, in 2023 Cascadden voted to legalize private marijuana sales with a 12.5% excise tax (HB 639). In 2024 Cascadden voted to legalize marijuana with licensed outlets and a 10% tax on monthly total gross revenue (HB 1633).
