George Hansel

Running for: US House NH District 2

Former Keene Mayor George Hansel lost the District 2 Congressional Primary in 2022, but he had the support of Governor Chris Sununu. Hansel is a more moderate candidate than many of the Republicans considering a run in 2024. He told the Keene Sentinel, "I've never been one to run for public office for a vanity project. It's really to get things done. Along with just analyzing if that's the right personal decision for me, there's some analysis that goes into it, like, 'How can I be effective? And will I be effective to represent the constituents in CD2?'"
