"In the states where this has been enacted, there has NOT been a mass exodus from the public schools. It will not close the public schools. The children should come first. Some do not do well in public school. Let them choose. "

"I will NOT support any additional tax that would claim to lower property taxes because that never works. There will just be a new tax and both would continue to go up. "

When asked this question on the 2024 Citizens Count survey, Rep. Notter wrote, "Honestly, stink weed makes me gag. I don't care what people do at home but keep it there and not out in public." In 2025 Notter voted to keep legal penalties for possessing and using marijuana (HB 198).
