"I am confident that our local legislators can work closely with Nashua’s Board of Education and the city to impose cuts that are the least harmful to our public school kids. This will be easier to accomplish if we can reverse changes made at the state-level favoring school vouchers and “Education Freedom Accounts” which are siphoning money out of local schools. Having the state pay a greater share of school costs – as was mandated by the ‘Claremont decisions’ – requires action by the state legislature (but recent legislation has only exacerbated the problems)."
