Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?
"Education funding should follow the student. This would enable parents (who know their children's diverse educational needs best) to exercise more options in choosing the best schools for their children."

Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the first trimester (e.g. after 6 weeks gestation)?
"I believe that unborn children are innocent human beings whose lives deserve protection. I'm not sure, however, exactly where the cutoff should be in terms of weeks of gestation. I am sure, though, that a cutoff at 24 weeks is reasonable and appropriate. That said, I also believe that there should be protection for women by providing exceptions for health complications and for rape/incest victims."

Should the state do more to encourage municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development?
"Control of zoning ordinances absolutely should remain under local control (i.e., municipalities) and not be usurped by state government. For most of us, real estate purchases are the biggest single financial events of our lives and also directly impact our quality of life because these purchases are about where we live. We should be able to expect that zoning ordinances will remain relatively stable and not be changed by remote strangers to benefit large institutions to the detriment of our own finances and living conditions. The best approach to addressing a 'housing crisis' is through market forces. Government intervention will almost certainly just make it worse."

Should New Hampshire legalize the recreational use of marijuana by allowing home-growing and private use without sales?
"Before I would consider decriminalizing marijuana use, we would have to have reliable tests and standards to determine whether a driver's ability to safely operate a vehicle has been impaired by marijuana use."
