Position on Issues

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?
"Most of the people who are taking advantage of this program, already can afford to send their children to private schools. As taxpayers, we should not be footing the bill for those families."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire’s anti-discrimination law allow segregation based on biological sex in some settings, such as bathrooms and locker rooms?

"We already have unisex bathrooms across our state. This is a non issue and a waste of the legislature’s time."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the first trimester (e.g. after 6 weeks gestation)?

"Abortion is woman's healthcare. It should be decided between a woman and her doctor. It is nobody else's business."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the second trimester (e.g. after 15 weeks gestation)?
"Abortion is woman's healthcare. It should be decided between a woman and her doctor. It is nobody else's business."

Should NH add an income tax on earned income?

"Only for people making over $1,000,000"

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire lower business taxes?

"It should be lower for small businesses, but much higher for large corporations."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should the state do more to encourage municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development?
"The housing shortage and increased prices to own or rent is effecting everyone. Businesses are struggling to find workers and young people are unable to afford buying a home. Rural areas should be protected from big housing development, but each town should take a look at the barriers that are preventing housing development in the right areas of their town. There needs to be a hard look at the current situation in our state and solutions should be a priority, so people can afford to have a roof over their heads."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire do more to encourage the development of nuclear power, including small modular reactors (SMR), in the state?

"We need to invest in more cleaner, environmental friendly energy."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Do you support legislation to expand the net energy metering system capacity cap from 1 MW to 5 MW for all residential and commercial customers in New Hampshire?

"This is a no brainer. It helps with climate disruption. It lowers costs for both those who generate their own electricity and for the other users because the utility does not have to build expensive new power plants or power lines to bring power in from other places out of state."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire restore funding for the Office of the Child Advocate?

"For"

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire guarantee the right to access abortion before 24 weeks?

"Abortion is woman's healthcare. It should be decided between a woman and her doctor. It is nobody else's business."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire reinstate the interest and dividends tax?

"For higher income levels than it was before."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Do you support New Hampshire’s current system of public school funding, with about two-thirds of total funding coming from local property taxes?

"The state needs to pay its fair share. If elected, I will work on finding ways to increase state funding and lower property taxes."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire legalize the recreational use of marijuana by allowing home-growing and private use without sales?

"We are losing valuable revenue, by not legalizing cannabis. It should be fully legal and the taxes (if private businesses are allowed) or profits (if we go the state run model, like our liquor stores) should 100% go to funding our schools."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire legalize the recreational use of marijuana by licensing growers and private retail locations?

"We are losing valuable revenue, by not legalizing cannabis. It should be fully legal and the taxes (if private businesses are allowed) or profits (if we go the state run model, like our liquor stores) should 100% go to funding our schools."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire legalize the recreational use of marijuana by establishing state-run cannabis stores?
"We are losing valuable revenue, by not legalizing cannabis. It should be fully legal and the taxes (if private businesses are allowed) or profits (if we go the state run model, like our liquor stores) should 100% go to funding our schools."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire require new voters to provide proof of U.S. citizenship, such as a birth certificate or passport, when registering to vote?

"We already require proof of citizenship when registering to vote. This is another non issue that has been made an issue by the controlling party in our state."

Should New Hampshire allow at least 10% of students in each school district to enroll in a different public school, regardless of where they live?

"Abortion is woman's healthcare. It should be decided between a woman and her doctor. It is nobody else's business."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should state law cap how much local school districts can increase their budget each year?

"A tax cap will cripple schools, especially in poorer towns. There's not a spending problem, there's a funding problem. The best way to lower our property taxes is to find more state revenue streams, without additional taxes on the middle and working class."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should NH pass stricter gun control laws?

"I am a gun owner and believe in the 2nd amendment. I also believe that guns should never be around schools or in the hands of a mentally ill person."
