"I support increased funding for heroin treatment programs."

Candidate's Facebook Page, 2015

"First law to repeal. Hands free driving law. Texting while driving was already illegal and I think we were all fine with that. But there's no reason why it should be legal for me to eat an apple, comb my hair, or work on my one handed juggling skills while driving. But it's illegal for me to hold a phone to my head and have a conversation just like if I was talking to someone in the passenger seat.

"New technology is becoming readily available for hands-free phone calls, but not everybody has that option. We should not penalize those that do not by taking away their right to talk to somebody while driving."

Should NH add an income tax on earned income?

"I feel that the Property tax system is working but it is flawed. I do not support a sales tax and never will. However, I do feel that a flat income tax is a more accurate way to tax than assumed value of property."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2016

Should NH add a broad-based sales tax?

"I feel that the Property tax system is working but it is flawed. I do not support a sales tax and never will. However, I do feel that a flat income tax is a more accurate way to tax than assumed value of property."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2015

Should NH authorize one or more casinos?

"I feel that this subject is widely divided among the citizens of NH. I feel that something like this should be on a ballot and not a decision made by politicians."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2016

Should NH continue to base statewide assessments on Common Core standards?

"I oppose basing statewide assessments on Common Core standards."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2016

Should NH broaden campaign finance disclosure laws?

"I support broader campaign finance disclosure laws."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2016

Should NH increase law enforcement policies and penalties for heroin-related offenses?

I am for stricter punishment for dealers. Users should have the choice to get help, not fines and jail time. NH needs to help those who need help, but more importantly those who WANT help.

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2016

Should NH legalize the recreational use of marijuana?

"I am in support of legalization. I propose that we tax it just like alcohol and cigarettes. We then use that revenue to fund the Heroin recovery plan."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2016

Was NH right to expand Medicaid eligibility, using private insurance wherever possible?

"I support NH's expanded Medicaid program."

Other, 2016

"Should be adjusted slightly in terms of inflation. NH and Maine are the only two states in New England at $7.50/hr. VT, MA, RI, and CT are at $9.60 or above. Economics usually work these things out on their own because people will work where they can be paid the most. Therefore, forcing the hand of private businesses to pay more for good employees. Minimum wage jobs are typically not meant to be lifetime careers. We usually think of these jobs as roles for teenagers or college students. However, the price of gas and general goods has gone up. It may be time to look at a slight increase in the minimum wage, but certainly not anything drastic."

"I don't believe that it is the government's business to tell people what they can and can't do with their own bodies on this topic. Let's face it, this is an act that a woman potentially could take care of herself... There are doctors and medical procedures that make the process much safer for all involved. It should be up to the doctor on whether or not the woman is a good candidate for the procedure. Having a law saying yes or no is not a good decision for this State because there are so many grey areas."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2016

Should NH do more to enforce federal immigration laws?

"I support increased state enforcement of federal immigration laws."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2016

What do you believe are the most important public policy decisions the NH Legislature should address in 2017?

  1. Blocking Northern Pass and The Kinder Morgan Pipeline expansion - NH is not the beneficiary of either project
  2. Legalizing Marijuana - Because we need a revenue source to combat the herion issue and fund heroin recovery
  3. Jobs - We need to simplify the way that NH businesses, both large and small, start up and run in NH. We also need to lower the corporate tax rate in order to attract corporations to set up here.
  4. Energy - Our electric rates are some of the highest in the Northeast. Piping energy in from other areas is not the answer. NH needs to look towards solar to drive down cost and create a hotbed for solar companies at the same time. Encouraging growth in this booming industry will lower energy rates and create sustaining jobs.

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2016

Should NH allow the Northern Pass to proceed with some (not all) of the lines buried?

"I oppose Northern Pass all together. NH needs to look towards solar energy for the cheaper electrical rates. Remove the solar cap and start utilizing the many roofs in this state to generate power."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2016

Should NH continue to use property taxes instead of a new broad-based tax, such as an income tax?

"I feel that the Property tax system is working but it is flawed. I do not support a sales tax and never will. However, I do feel that a flat income tax is a more accurate way to tax than assumed value of property."

Candidate's Website, 2015

"I believe that any two consulting adults that are in love and want to get married should have that right to do so. The titles of Man or Woman should play no role in this. Restricting rights to others for no reason other than it's different is ridiculous. As a country we should have learned this from our past."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2016

What is your opinion on the state providing some funding for Planned Parenthood?

"I oppose state tax dollars being used to fund abortions except in cases where monetary assistance is necessary when the mother's life is in danger or in rape situations."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2016

Should NH continue to administer statewide standards-based student assessments?

"I support NH continuing to administer statewide standards-based student assessments. It's the federal standards that I don't agree with. Local oversight is much better than federal."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2016

Should NH pass stricter gun control laws?

"I oppose stricter gun control laws and believe that we need to pass the concealed carry law. This has been passed twice now by our representatives and vetoed by Gov. Hassan."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2016

Should parents be allowed to opt their children out of the NH immunization/vaccination registry?

"Parents should be allowed to opt their children out of the NH immunization/vaccination registry."
