"NH is currently considering the legalization of marijuana. One thing we know is that in the legalized states of Alaska, Colorado, Oregon and Washington, the average rate of regular teen marijuana use is 30% higher than the national rate (National Survey on Drug Use and Health). Given our current substance abuse crisis, why would we want to give our teens the idea that drug use is 'no big deal' and make drugs easier to access? The marijuana business markets toward youth, particularly with edibles. In fact, states that have legalized marijuana have seen increased ER visits due from children eating edibles that look like candy. New Hampshire has a Medical Marijuana program for those with an illness. Possession for personal use has been decriminalized. Let's stop there."
