"This is unsustainable. Municipalities have limited ways to raise revenue. The state has more tools available and we should use them to distribute the costs of maintaining our public school systems to others that benefit from them, the business community, for example, relies on our schools to educate their workforce and to provide safe spaces for the children of workers, including before and afterschool care."
