"Open enrollment does nothing to solve the adequate and equitable funding of public education. Many school districts have agreements with other districts in an effort to provide a wide range of opportunities to students. Example: Laconia's Huot Technical Center is an agreement with 11 districts. Transportation, and special education needs are addressed in this form of arrangement. this is a much better solution than open enrollment."

"this is another Republican distraction from the State's ranking of being dead last in support of public education. This bill, HB1300 will further constrain local school districts and make it harder for the district to meet the needs of its students. It will lock in existing funding disparities that will further widen the gap between communities and the quality of education for students across the State. I hope all votes say NO to this bill on Nov 3rd"
