"Legislation to make New Hampshire the only Right to Work state in New England has failed to pass in recent years. The time to push this one over the top is now. SCOTUS just ruled that public unions cannot force membership on public employees. A Right to Work law will give the same freedom to private workers. There are many arguments given by the Unions for the status quo but every person seeking work should have a choice on the matter, it's called freedom of association. This trumps all other reasons. Unions to be effective have to provide something for their members and compete in the labor market to evolve for the better. Forced membership yields union bosses focused on political king-making rather that the working conditions, worker training and health of the business they work at. Unions concerned about workers can be a good thing. A free worker can choose to join that union and judge for themselves if the union provides benefit."
