Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?
"I believe this is a scheme to weaken public education in New Hampshire by diverting scarce resources. A better approach would be to provide adequate funding at the state level to improve public education in all school districts."Undecided| Read My Position

Should New Hampshire’s anti-discrimination law allow segregation based on biological sex in some settings, such as bathrooms and locker rooms?
"This is a very difficult and complicated issue, and I sympathize with anyone who is dealing with it. I do not believe we should stigmatize anyone, and I fear the issue has been used unfairly to harm people who deserve as much protection as the people we are ostensibly trying to protect."Against| Read My Position

Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the first trimester (e.g. after 6 weeks gestation)?
"Although I am personally opposed to abortion in nearly all cases, I believe the decision whether to terminate a pregnancy rests solely with the woman, her physician, and her conscience."Against| Read My Position

Should NH add an income tax on earned income?
"I believe New Hampshire needs to explore ways to fund the basic services that its residents deserve, but which are now sorely lacking. New Hampshire is literally the wealthiest state in America, yet we rank near the bottom in the provision of services to our vulnerable communities. One way to increase revenues would be to explore additional revenue streams, but build in exemptions and deductions to protect the lower end of the income scale, while finally requiring the very wealthy to pay their fair share."Other| Read My Position

Should New Hampshire lower business taxes?
"I believe New Hampshire businesses, which benefit from our educated work force, good roads, and safe communities, should pay their fair share for those benefits. However, I also believe in targeted tax credits to promote certain beneficial busainesses and grow our local economy."For| Read My Position

Should the state do more to encourage municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development?
"Restrictive zoning in affluent towns that want to stay that way has contributed for decades to New Hampshire's housing stock crisis. Every community has an obligation to provide its fair share of workforce housing."Against| Read My Position

Should New Hampshire reinstate the interest and dividends tax?
"For reasons indicated in the previous question, I believe New Hampshire does not have the luxury of excluding revenue streams from our tax structure. The I&D tax was not burdensome, and by its nature impacted higher earners more than lower income families, which I believe was fair."Against| Read My Position

Do you support New Hampshire’s current system of public school funding, with about two-thirds of total funding coming from local property taxes?
"Our constitution requires the state to provide an "adequate" education for all students. At the very least, the state should embrace this obligation, instead of fighting to evade it at every turn. In fact, I think the State of New Hampshire should fund and excellent education for all of its students."For| Read My Position

Should New Hampshire allow at least 10% of students in each school district to enroll in a different public school, regardless of where they live?
