"The EFA program has helped many families find the best education fit, with support coming from the education trust fund as opposed to local funds. I do understand the arguments for universal access, but I am open to revisiting means-testing, which was part of the earlier program's approach."

"I am with the large majority of citizens who opposed biological males have unfettered access to female spaces based on orientations they claim to have. My understanding of transgender citizens has evolved, but the simplest (if nor the easiest) solution is to keep XX with XX and XY with XY."

"Our new housing committee has spent much time on this. While always sympathetic to the notion of local control, I know that some communities make it very difficult for new housing to be developed, which is bad for N.H."

"Nuclear development may not be the panacea that some claim, but irrational fear of this technology has severely hampered our nation's energy landscape since the 1980s. Nuclear is clean and green. Thank heavens the Clamshell Alliance to not stop our wonderful Seabrook Station!"

"Local funding and local control is the best model. The state also provides more targeted aid than most people realize. Every community is different, but over-spending by local school boards is the main cause of high property taxes - not a lack of state spending."

"School choice holds much promise for helping students to get to where they would most flourish, while also introducing a healthy competitive dynamic. The education establishment has ossified in too many communities. I write that as someone who has taught in public, parochial, and military schools, as well as on the community college and university levels. I've also served on two school boards as well as doing two terms on the House Education Committee."

Should state law cap how much local school districts can increase their budget each year?

"Yes! This is the true solution to local over-spending. Of course, local citizens bear responsibility for ceding control of budgets to special interests who show up to vote for spending that benefits THEM. A proposed tax cap measure that could be over-ridden locally if locals want or need to is the way to go."
