Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?
"Currently there is no oversight on this program. Public money should stay with public schools. I am willing to listen to other points of view."

Should New Hampshire’s anti-discrimination law allow segregation based on biological sex in some settings, such as bathrooms and locker rooms?

"Segregation is a manufactured issue, imho. This issue only creates division among all residents of NH. Gender neutral bathrooms are the answer."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the first trimester (e.g. after 6 weeks gestation)?

"These situations are generally traumatic and highly personal. Patients and their families and their doctors should be allowed to make decisions without interference. Healthcare decisions, including abortions should be decided by patients, their families and their healthcare providers"

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the second trimester (e.g. after 15 weeks gestation)?
"These situations are generally traumatic and highly personal. Patients and their families and their doctors should be allowed to make decisions without interference. Healthcare decisions, including abortions should be decided by patients, their families and their healthcare providers"

Should NH add an income tax on earned income?

"Our incomes are taxed enough as it is."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire lower business taxes?

"NH has already decreased business taxes (Business profits tax and Business Enterprise taxes) too much. The benefits have gone to large businesses and corporations not small businesses. These reductions in state revenue result in higher property taxes and have not had any significant impact on bringing business to NH."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should the state do more to encourage municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development?
"Yes, however what types of changes should be left to the towns and cities to decide."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire do more to encourage the development of nuclear power, including small modular reactors (SMR), in the state?

"The potential damages from nuclear power outweigh its advantages. Disposal of nuclear waste also presents a serious problem."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Do you support legislation to expand the net energy metering system capacity cap from 1 MW to 5 MW for all residential and commercial customers in New Hampshire?

"This is an easy way to encourage clean energy and save residents and businesses on costs."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire restore funding for the Office of the Child Advocate?

"NH needs to greatly improve its performance regarding protection of vulnerable children. Restoring, and fully funding the office of the child advocate is of utmost importance."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire guarantee the right to access abortion before 24 weeks?

"These situations are generally traumatic and highly personal. Patients and their families and their doctors should be allowed to make decisions without interference. Healthcare decisions, including abortions should be decided by patients, their families and their healthcare providers"

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire reinstate the interest and dividends tax?

"The elimination of the interest and dividends tax benefitted almost entirely the wealthiest, leaving the rest of NH to pay increased local property taxes."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Do you support New Hampshire’s current system of public school funding, with about two-thirds of total funding coming from local property taxes?

"NH has a terrible history regarding school funding. Public schools have historically opened opportunities to all and reduced wealth inequality. They are now being pushed towards extinction in favor of unregulated private schools and home schooling. The failure of the state to meet its obligations has been a prime cause of increased local property taxes."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire legalize the recreational use of marijuana by allowing home-growing and private use without sales?

"On Balance, it benefits NH to have sales be within our state rather than having our residents travel to neighboring states. Although this would bring additional state revenue, I would prefer to see sales in the private market."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire legalize the recreational use of marijuana by licensing growers and private retail locations?

"On Balance, it benefits NH to have sales be within our state rather than having our residents travel to neighboring states. Although this would bring additional state revenue, I would prefer to see sales in the private market."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire legalize the recreational use of marijuana by establishing state-run cannabis stores?
"On Balance, it benefits NH to have sales be within our state rather than having our residents travel to neighboring states. Although this would bring additional state revenue, I would prefer to see sales in the private market."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire require new voters to provide proof of U.S. citizenship, such as a birth certificate or passport, when registering to vote?

"The claims of voter fraud in this area are almost 100% unfounded. Encouragement of voting, not suppression, should be the goal."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire allow at least 10% of students in each school district to enroll in a different public school, regardless of where they live?

"This is a proposal to benefits higher income families, who can afford the related transportation costs. It also creates planning and funding problems for local schools."

Should NH pass stricter gun control laws?

"As a gun owner and supporter of the 2nd amendment, I would not vote for a lot of restrictions. On the other hand, I would support various gun safety measures such as red flag laws and keeping guns out of schools."
