"New Hampshire, on the other hand, is among the top five states for tax competitiveness (Tax Foundation, 2026). In regard to addressing concerns about the impact of property taxes on Granite Staters, my view is we must avoid negatively impacting affordability and tax competitiveness. We need to fund services, for sure. We also should always work to apply fiscal discipline, ensure taxpayer funds are spent efficiently and effectively, and look for ways to reduce costs. To the extent additional funding may be needed, potential options must exclude new, broad-based taxes. Any broad-based taxes will not only make New Hampshire less affordable for those who live here, but they will eliminate a major incentive for why people move here."

"New Hampshire has ongoing demand for housing. High costs and limited supply are constraints on the growth of the state. Work has been done in the interests of increasing supply, focusing on regulatory reform, deregulation, reducing red tape and reducing costs. I support much of the work so far. At the same time, we should ensure localities are part of the efforts."

"Granite Staters have to pay some of the highest costs for energy in the nation. We need to have as a priority an energy strategy supporting reliable, affordable, and abundant power for granite state businesses and families. I support the pursuit of all available energy source options including renewables. Regarding electricity, I particularly support initiatives to expand nuclear and increase the supply of natural gas for power generation."
