Position on Issues

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?
"Two-thirds of local taxes are for education. Parents of students who are not served by what is offered locally need to be recognized for their donation to the system, and be offered a rebate for the education that they are not receiving."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire’s anti-discrimination law allow segregation based on biological sex in some settings, such as bathrooms and locker rooms?

"Enablement is not therapy, and should never be encoded into law as therapy. Dysfunction should be treated, not maximized with pride."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the first trimester (e.g. after 6 weeks gestation)?

"I have survived gestation. You are reading this, which leads me to conclude that you, too, have survived and consider survival optimal. I am pro survival. The US constitution was written in part...to secure the blessings of liberty unto our posterity. I am pro posterity and against anything that would harm our posterity before they can enjoy the blessings of liberty."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire ban abortions during the second trimester (e.g. after 15 weeks gestation)?
"I have survived gestation. You are reading this, which leads me to conclude that you, too, have survived and consider survival optimal. I am pro survival. The US constitution was written in part...to secure the blessings of liberty unto our posterity. I am pro posterity and against anything that would harm our posterity before they can enjoy the blessings of liberty."

Should NH add an income tax on earned income?

"I will not vote for a broad based tax in any form."

Should New Hampshire lower business taxes?

"I will listen to the debate, and explore the impact."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should the state do more to encourage municipalities to remove zoning barriers to housing development?
"Zoning should remain under local control."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire do more to encourage the development of nuclear power, including small modular reactors (SMR), in the state?

"Modern advancements in portable nuclear development make this a genuine possibility."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Do you support legislation to expand the net energy metering system capacity cap from 1 MW to 5 MW for all residential and commercial customers in New Hampshire?

"I need to listen to the debate on this."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire restore funding for the Office of the Child Advocate?

"Let me read proposals...a child advocate that suggests enablement over therapy is no advocate at all."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire guarantee the right to access abortion before 24 weeks?

"I have survived gestation. You are reading this, which leads me to conclude that you, too, have survived and consider survival optimal. I am pro survival. The US constitution was written in part...to secure the blessings of liberty unto our posterity. I am pro posterity and against anything that would harm our posterity before they can enjoy the blessings of liberty."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire reinstate the interest and dividends tax?

"New Hampshire must remain business friendly."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Do you support New Hampshire’s current system of public school funding, with about two-thirds of total funding coming from local property taxes?

"I am against a system of mandated increases in school budgets. If a line cannot be capped, the budget cannot be capped. You cannot fund a mandated annual increase of 28%, and you cannot solve the crisis in public schools without a conversation that addresses this increase."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire legalize the recreational use of marijuana by allowing home-growing and private use without sales?

"The side effects of cannabis, and the latest discoveries as to the damage caused by THC must be kept in consideration before any changes are legislated."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire require new voters to provide proof of U.S. citizenship, such as a birth certificate or passport, when registering to vote?

"Only US citizens should vote in elections in the US. My wife took ten years to become a US citizen, and now votes proudly."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire allow at least 10% of students in each school district to enroll in a different public school, regardless of where they live?

"The state school cannot be the only choice. Some students do not fit in one place, and thrive in others. Students need that place where they thrive. My children are musicians. When the local district cut music k-12, they precluded any offer of adequate education to any musician."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should New Hampshire repeal the ban on abortion after 24 weeks gestation?

"I have survived gestation. You are reading this, which leads me to conclude that you, too, have survived and consider survival optimal. I am pro survival. I am pro posterity and against anything that would harm our posterity before they can enjoy the blessings of liberty."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should state law cap how much local school districts can increase their budget each year?

"A straight up cap on local taxes, without addressing the increasing mandates will require the district to cap what is offered in general education. Music, language and art have been historically the only "electives" that get cut. Districts will no longer be able to offer "adequate" education to the populace. This will end with state funded daycare up to age 18, and eliminate education."

Citizens Count Issue Survey, 2026

Should NH pass stricter gun control laws?

"The US constitution stands as a monument of balanced government. The second amendment does not need to be amended."
