"We can restore just 1% to the Business Profits Tax and Business Enterprise Tax while providing breaks to small business. Repeated business-tax reductions from large corporations have cost the state substantial revenue without delivering enough relief to local taxpayers. Restoring one point could generate an estimated $1.4 billion over ten years - and far more if we grow our economy - and help the state meet its education and constitutional obligations. This should also be done while ensuring tax incentives for small businesses, encouraging their growth and expansion."

"Our State has a constitutional responsibility to fund an adequate public education, but the state continues to leave local property taxpayers carrying far too much of the burden. Communities face larger class sizes, fewer educators, deferred maintenance, and cuts to programs that help students thrive. Currently New Hampshire ranks DEAD LAST in the nation in state investment in public education. That is not a status to be proud of."
