Should New Hampshire allocate tax revenues for private and home schooling costs?

"I believe that parents know what is best for their children and should have the freedom and power to follow that up educationally. Parents pay taxes that are used for education. They should be able to claim that portion of their taxes for use in educating their children in alternative forms. However, it is my understanding that regulatory strings follow that money to parochial schools, etc. which defeats the purpose of going to a non-state school. The scholarship fund averts that problem, but should be more accessible to anyone wanting to use it. Therefore, I believe that any parent wishing to home school or send their child to a non-state school should receive a tax credit equal to the cost of their alternative education so that they are not financially handicapped in any regard in addition to the scholarship fund option."
