"New Hampshire wastes large amounts of resources prosecuting cannabis possession while selling a more dangerous drug, alcohol, to its citizens. This hypocrisy engenders a lack of respect for the law and for law enforcement. Furthermore, when people are marked as criminals for cannabis possession they become less employable and this further hurts them and the economy of the state. Part of living as free adults is acknowledging and tolerating that others will make choices that we may not approve. The government doesn't put people in prison for not graduating high school and it shouldn't put them in prison for possession of cannabis."
