Should New Hampshire extend the renewable portfolio standard past 2025, requiring public utilities to obtain more than 25% of electricity from renewable energy sources?

"The basic nature of the relationship between the State and the electric grid and electricity providers should be reevaluated. Under a property formed relationship, I would oppose the state forcing utility businesses to obtain energy from specific sources. However, the State does have some level of proper authority regarding pollution of movable resources. I would support a flexible framework for utilities to meet reasonable criteria to reduce air and water pollution caused by electricity generation and transmission."

Should New Hampshire continue to participate in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, which requires utilities to purchase allowances for every ton of carbon they emit?

"The basic nature of the relationship between the State and the electric grid and electricity providers should be reevaluated. Under a property formed relationship, the State does have some level of authority regarding pollution of movable resources. I would support a flexible framework for utilities to meet reasonable criteria to reduce air and water pollution caused by electricity generation and transmission. Whether that means RGGI or some other framework would require further study on my part."
