Do you support the “Education Freedom Account” program, which gives students access to the per-pupil share of state school funding to spend on private school or home school expenses?
"The current system has morphed into a multi million dollar handout. Often these students had already been enrolled in parochial or private schools. If a parent wants to send their children outside of the public school system they should pay for it. This system has very little accountability as to how this money is being spent, yet our property tax dollars are supporting this. I would like to see the voucher system rolled back to it's original form to help lower and middle income families looking for alternatives to their public school as I do recognize that some kids will learn better in a different enviroment. "There is no question that NH needs more affordable housing. It will take creative thinking to get this done. Some cities are doing a terrific job, like Portsmouth although it is more difficult in the smaller towns like Kensington and Hampton Falls. Should New Hampshire do more to encourage the development of nuclear power, including small modular reactors (SMR), in the state?
"Knowing an expansion of Seabrook Station is part of this development, right down the road from Kensington and Hampton Falls is concerning. I don't believe NH has fully embraced solar projects or collaborated with our fellow New England states in doing so. Moving full speed to more nuclear and to SMRs I feel is concerning. The SMRs go hand in hand with energy needed for database centers which i oppose."Other| Read My Position

Do you support legislation to expand the net energy metering system capacity cap from 1 MW to 5 MW for all residential and commercial customers in New Hampshire?
"We are getting solar for our home this Fall so am learning a lot recently about net metering although I don't know all the ins and outs (yet). My overall feeling is expanding the capacity would be good, especially for businesses as it could save them some big money or make them money. We all know our electric bills are through the roof so to help residents and businesses using solar I feel is a good thing."For| Read My Position

When you think about the lawsuit of $150 million to fund the YDC settlement, isn't that a small price to pay to avoid children being abused. We need this watchdog group. "The courts have more than once directed the State to pay their fair share towards public education and the current majority has only responded by expanding vouchers and costing taxpayers even more. When the State pays more, property tax payers will pay less. Our residents are spending money in other states while that money could be spent right here and enriching our economy. Also, many people have uses for marijuana for pain relief and sleep relief. "This is just another way to keep people, especially young people from voting. Passports cost money and sometimes birth certificates are lost. Almost everyone in NH has a drivers license who can vote. Drivers licenses should suffice. This is finding a problem where no problem exists."Against| Read My Position

"Firstly i don't feel this is an edict that should be handed down from the State. the number or percentage of students allowed to enroll in a different school district should be decided by those is each given district. Every school district is different and it's voters should decide what they feel is best for their student population. Also, currently if a student has a reasonable need to leave a given school district there are ways to get this accomplished without legislating a statewide law."For| Read My Position

"I have no problem with people responsibly owning guns for hunting, target shooting, protection in their home or while in perceived dangerous situations. I do feel there is a need for mandatory waiting periods when purchasing a firearm and absolutely no guns on campus."
