Jeb Bradley and Martha Fuller Clark awarded for breastfeeding support

Earlier this month, Senators Jeb Bradley and Martha Fuller Clark were recognized by advocates for their work supporting breastfeeding rights, receiving the State Legislative Award for Supporting Breastfeeding in a ceremony at International Mountain Equipment in North Conway. 

Kate Frederick, the president of the newly-formed NH Breastfeeding Rights Coalition, stated that Bradley and Fuller Clark were chosen for their work in the state legislature to promote the rights of breastfeeding mothers.  Fuller Clark was the primary sponsor of SB 219, which would have required employers to provide accommodations for employees to express breast milk, while Bradley co-sponsored the bill. 

The awards ceremony was timed to coincide with National Breastfeeding Month.
