The Secretary of State will recount election results in seven races next week.

Right now just thirteen votes separate Andrew Hosmer and Harold French in the race for Senate District 7, which covers towns just north of Concord.

Nineteen votes separate Timothy Lang, Sr. and Ian Raymond in Belknap House District 4, which covers Sanbornton and Tilton.

In Merrimack House District 3, twenty-five votes separate Ryan Smith and Deborah Wheeler.

Manchester Ward 12, which corresponds to Hillsborough House District 19, is an especially tight race between Dick Marston and Joel Elber. They are separated by just eight votes.

In Hillsborough House District 28, which covers Nashua Ward 1, Sylvia Gale and Elizabeth Ferreira are divided by only six votes.

The spread of votes is a little larger, but will still be recounted, in Nashua Ward 9 and Strafford House District 25 (Barrington and Lee).

None of these races will change the balance of power in Concord, which favors Republicans. However, they prove that every vote counts in New Hampshire.

We will update our candidate pages with the recount results as they come in. Want to see who won and lost in your town? Visit "Prepare for Elections."
