Summary:
Removes the requirement to mark political advertising printed in newspapers, periodicals, or billboards as "political advertising."
The Senate amended the bill to keep the labeling requirement for newspapers and periodicals, but revise the penalties. A first offense would be a violation, similar to a speeding ticket, with a $50 fine. A second violation within five years would carry a $1,000 fine.
