Summary:
Makes it a misdemeanor to knowingly falsely allege misconduct or criminal conduct against a police officer who is performing his or her official duty.
The Senate rewrote the bill to instead increase the penalty - to a Class A Misdemeanor - for making a false report to a law enforcement officer.
